In the town of Shapeville, it was the morning of the big parade. Circle rolled down the street, round and smooth. "I can roll the fastest," Circle said, "because I have no corners at all!" Square marched behind, stomp, stomp, stomp. "I have four sides, all the same length," said Square proudly, "so I can stand steady and never tip over." Triangle hopped along at the back. "I only have three sides," Triangle said quietly. "What am I good for?" Just then, a big wind blew, and the parade tent began to wobble. "Oh no!" cried everyone. "It's going to fall!" Circle rolled underneath, but just rolled away. Square tried, but the tent kept wobbling. Then Triangle stood up tall, with its three strong sides, and held the tent pole tight. The tent stopped shaking. "Triangles are the strongest shape for holding things up!" said the Mayor. "That's why bridges and rooftops use them!" Everyone cheered. Circle rolled, Square stood steady, and Triangle held things strong. And they all agreed that every shape is special in its very own way.
