Astronaut Max buckled his seatbelt, and his robot dog, Bolt, wagged his metal tail. "Ready for a trip around the planets?" Max asked. "Beep beep!" said Bolt. Their spaceship zoomed off. First they flew past Mercury, the tiny planet closest to the Sun. Next came Venus, wrapped in thick, yellow clouds. Then they waved goodbye to Earth, their blue and green home. Soon they reached Mars, the red planet, covered in rusty dust and tall mountains. "Beep!" said Bolt, pressing his nose to the window. Then came Jupiter, the biggest planet of all, with swirly stripes and a giant red storm. After that was Saturn, with beautiful rings made of ice and rock, sparkling like a crown. Uranus was a pale blue planet that spun on its side, like a rolling ball. And last was Neptune, deep blue and very, very windy. "That's all eight planets!" said Max. "Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune." Bolt beeped happily. Then Max turned the spaceship around. Because after the biggest adventure in the whole solar system, the best place to be was home.
